Lousy Relatives

The best thing about Chinese New Year is the food & ang pows. The worst are relatives visiting. We only get to see them once a year or when ever someone gets married or buy a new condo (house warming). That's all. It's always the same. They'll stared at me & comment on what ever is new. Like ohhhh.... you've cut your hair- you look like a boy! Or worst, oh.... you've put on weight !!!

This year is something new, they go like : ohhh..... do you have a boy friend? You should get a boy friend. Keep long hair, guys like girls with longer hair. You should stay out of the sun & get fairer, you are too dark .... & it goes on! The ang pow they gave is not enough to compensate me for these verbal abuse. I wanted to retort, but mum gave me the look which practically said "don't you dare!"

Told mum I'll not attend such sessions next year, I'll go on a trip. Dad agreed & said we all should go off next year ....lol...

Yay.... to Dad !!!!
