Usual thing to do in January is Spring Cleaning. The smartest way to do that is to delegate the task to someone else, like mum or a younger sibling ...lol.. Dad will NEVER lift a finger at anything. We should really hire a helper. It makes no sense for us to spend hours doing all these cleaning work when we can let someone do it for us.
Mum is the one that stands in the way for this brilliant idea. She like to bring up the cost , then the thing about having a stranger living with us & the safety of our things. Regarding the cost, dad could well afford that, plus he likes to order us around to "fetch" him things like coffee, papers, tv remote & stuff" we are like his mini minions -I personally hated that. Mum is used to it- by the way she has no choice, she's his wife. I make it a note to find a man who will never do that to me in the future!
Stranger living with us? Well that's all about priorities right? Stranger vs no house work. Stranger naturally wins, at least in my books. The thing abut safety of our possessions? Well it's not like we have stacks of cash lying around or any crown jewelries for that matter. Well I'll have to bring up this issue very soon. I can't survive another spring cleaning session with mum.
